World NTD Day

World NTD Day

A global movement to end Neglected Tropical Diseases

On January 30, 2023, we celebrate the fourth annual World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) Day. Investing in NTDs is a global health and development success story. So far, 47 countries have eliminated an NTD, showing progress is possible. In 2020, 600 million fewer people required interventions against NTDs than in 2010. To know more about this global movement to end neglected tropical diseases, access: https://worldntdday.org/.

In order to bring renewed attention to NTDs and support this action, JVATiTD will select four articles submitted between January 30 and February 28 on neglected tropical diseases (established by the WHO) to offer a discount on the article-processing charge (APC). Two of them will receive a 100% discount and the other two, 50%. To be considered for this initiative, the authors should mention in the cover letter that the manuscript is being submitted to the “World NTD Day action”.
